The
Harken Zircon block is a reliable heavy-duty block from the popular Zircon series - ideal for versatile sailing applications. The free-running ball bearings ensure particularly smooth running and efficient power transmission, even under high loads.
The robust and durable construction makes the block a solid solution for sheets, halyards and other heavily used trim lines on dinghies, sports boats and yachts. Thanks to its excellent price-performance ratio, it is perfect for recreational sailors and regatta sailors alike.
Features:
- Smooth-running block from the Harken Zircon series
- Low-friction ball bearings for efficient operation
- Robust, durable construction
- Ideal for sheets, halyards, and control lines
Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:
- Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
- For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
- Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
- Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
- Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
- Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
