LECOMBLE & SCHMITT Solenoid Valve / 12 V

The 12 V solenoid valve from Lecomble and Schmitt is an additional system that can be used in conjunction with the L&S linear drive on sailing boats. The unit reduces the energy consumption of the drive unit by a factor of six.

The ‘Ecopilot’ controls the valve that activates the autopilot. The power consumption of this solenoid valve accounts for a significant proportion of the total energy consumption of the autopilot. The ‘Ecopilot’ works by allowing the required current to flow through the solenoid valve for a brief moment to switch it on. The current is then significantly reduced, but remains sufficient to keep the solenoid valve in its position.

The Ecopilot energy-saving unit is compatible with all linear drives (regardless of manufacturer) – please check beforehand whether your system already includes such a unit.
