Optical performance
The Steiner Navigator Autobright 7x50c is a state-of-the-art marine binocular designed specifically for use at sea. 7x magnification and an objective lens diameter of 50 mm provide a wide field of view of 128 m at 1000 m and a smooth, stable image. Thanks to Steiner's high-contrast optics, bright, high-contrast images with precise contours and natural colour rendition are reproduced.

Steiner Autobright technology is an innovative, sunlight-adaptive lens technology that automatically adjusts the brightness of binoculars to the prevailing light conditions. It acts like an automatic "light protection factor" for the eyes to reduce glare and optimise vision in extreme light situations.

Function
The technology is based on photochromic lenses that have been refined with molecules specially developed by Steiner.

• Automatic adjustment: The molecules react directly to the intensity of the sunlight and continuously regulate how much light is allowed through the lenses.
• Light management: Whether at sunrise, low sun or bright midday light - the lenses darken or brighten as required to ensure ideal image brightness at all times.
• Protective function: In addition to brightness regulation, the eyes are effectively protected from harmful UV rays and annoying reflections.

The Navigator Autobright 7x50c is waterproof to 5 metres and nitrogen-filled to prevent lens fogging. It operates reliably in temperatures from -20 °C to +70 °C, meeting the demanding standards of marine use. Its robust construction and high-quality craftsmanship ensure long-lasting performance.
