The premium antifouling from Seajet, PLATINUM 039, is a particularly high-performance, self-polishing underwater paint that offers exceptional fouling protection. It is suitable for all sailing areas and for use over multiple seasons. Based on innovative SPC technology (Self-Polishing Co-Polymer). This system ensures that the biocide is released evenly and in a controlled manner, activated by contact with saltwater. The continuous self-polishing process, supported by movement in the water, keeps the hull surface smooth and ensures that fresh biocide rises to the surface. Even with longer layup times, the effect remains. The product is suitable for boats with a maximum speed of up to 40 knots. Not suitable for freshwater. Coverage: 9.6 m²/l. Suitable dilution A.

Application Instructions

Technical Data

  • Application temperature: +5 °C to +30 °C
  • Drying time at 15 °C: 1.5 hours (dust dry)
  • Recoat time at 15 °C: 6 hours
Can be applied over most antifoulings if they are in good condition.

For coated surfaces
  • In good condition: If compatible, you can apply the new Seajet antifouling directly on top of the existing antifouling.
    If the old antifouling is incompatible or unknown, apply SEAJET 015 Underwater Primer over the old antifouling.
  • In poor condition: Completely remove the old antifouling. Clean and degrease the surface. Now apply a minimum of 2 coats of Seajet
    antifouling.
GRP / Bare Gelcoat / Steel: Sand the surface with 100 grit paper. Clean and degrease the surface. Apply 2 coats of Seajet 015 Underwater Primer or Seajet 117, then the antifouling.

Wood: Use the Seajet 015 Underwater Primer.

Aluminium: Seajet 039 Platinum antifouling is not suitable for aluminium boats!
