Product details

This two-part Y adapter set is designed for simple parallel connection of two solar modules that are equipped with standard 4 plug connectors (MC4 = module connector 4). This allows modules and controllers to be effectively connected via a single PLUS/MINUS cable. Short version.
Correctly connected standard 4-pin connectors are waterproof. A snap lock prevents unintentional disconnection. Dimensions (L x W x H): 117 x 41 x 19 mm. Load capacity: max. 30 amps.

Note

When two or more powerful solar modules are connected in parallel, the current on the cables between the module connectors and the solar controller doubles or multiplies. In order to achieve the maximum solar yield, it is important to have a sufficiently large cable cross-section!
The cable cross-section depends on the maximum solar current and the total cable length of PLUS and MINUS cables.
The max. permissible current through a standard 4 (MC-4) plug connection is 30 amps.
