Product details

Sika® Aktivator-100 is a transparent solvent-based bonding agent that absorbs moisture and leaves active compounds on the treated surface. These compounds ensure improved adhesion between the substrate and the primer or adhesive used.
This activator was specially developed for the pre-treatment of bonding surfaces in combination with Sikaflex® adhesives to ensure optimal adhesion and long-lasting bonds.

Notes on use

Improves adhesion to glass, ceramic-coated glass, old polyurethane adhesives and paints. Suitable for improving adhesion on non-porous substrates (intensive testing required)
Before using on materials prone to stress cracking, manufacturer recommendations must be observed
Only suitable for experienced users
Preliminary tests with original materials under the respective conditions are required
The surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil, dust and dirt. Adhesion can be improved by further pre-treatment steps such as sanding or cleaning before applying the activator.
