What new features does the TORQEEDO TRAVEL offer?
TORQEEDO TRAVEL 603 / 903 / 1103 TORQEEDO TRAVEL (model from 2024)
Black and white display without app A colour display with extended information and an app for WLAN/Bluetooth functions.
Rigid fin / sensitive to collision damage Improved, flexible fin (break-proof)
More compact battery with a capacity of 915 Wh, without integrated display. Larger battery with a choice of 1,080 Wh or 1,425 Wh, including charge level indicator.
Two connection cables and one sensitive connection Mechanism for easy battery attachment with click & play system.
Tiller loosens when tilted up, which makes handling more difficult. Tiller can be tilted up and down, making it ideal for steering and also transport.

An extremely clean solution:
  • With TRAVEL, you can say goodbye to fuel leaks or unpleasant petrol odours, regardless of how you store the motor.
  • Manual tilt and a flexible but sturdy fin protect the motor from possible impact damage.
  • The motor and battery are completely waterproof (IP 67).
  • Thanks to the on-board computer with GPS, the integrated colour display on the tiller provides you with information on speed, consumption, charge status and remaining range in time or distance.
  • The emergency stop magnetic chip ensures your safety by stopping the motor immediately if the chip is removed.
  • Charging status can be viewed using a practical LED on the battery, even without being connected to the motor.

Operation of the new TORQEEDO TRAVEL outboard motor:
  • The fully adjustable speed control ensures efficient power consumption.
  • Steering is effortless both forwards and backwards thanks to the comfortable handle. Thanks to the improved tiller, steering while standing is now also possible with ease.
  • The integrated and removable battery is equipped with a convenient carrying handle and the tiller can be folded for easy transport. The motor weighs just 11.6 kg without the battery.
  • Comparable to a 3 hp petrol outboard motor, this motor is characterised by being environmentally friendly, quiet, light and easy to operate.
  • Click & Play: No more cables - simply plug in the battery and set off!
  • Steering can be flexibly adjusted between 360°, +/- 60° and fixed, which is particularly advantageous for sailing boats with rudders.
  • Installation is simple and straightforward, taking just a few simple steps at the stern of your tender, dinghy or inflatable boat. In addition, the motor can now be rotated 360° to attach the battery.

Technical features of the new TORQEEDO TRAVEL:
  • The outboard is available in two shaft lengths; short shaft (62.5 cm) and long shaft (75 cm).
  • With a weight of just 20.2 kg or 21.2 kg (depending on the battery), the Torqeedo Travel is designed for effortless handling on board.
  • The direct drive motors are completely maintenance free.
  • A brushless DC motor enables a high level of efficiency overall.
  • A powerful lithium-ion battery guarantees an impressive range.

Avoid Torqeedo
I have the previous model, but that's irrelevant. During the initial quick test after unpacking, I got Error 30. After a few attempts to plug and unplug it, it worked; you always look for the problem yourself first. Unfortunately, I now have the product in Greece. It always starts with error message E30 until I spray contact cleaner into the connectors. This is practically a brand new product straight out of the box! Would you even attempt to get ashore in a dinghy in 4 Beaufort winds like that? Luckily, I still have my old petrol engine. Through a mishap, I lost the kill switch (only one was included, and at that price!). I emailed Torqeedo to ask where I could get spare parts in Greece. The verdict: customer service is nonexistent. I then did some research in forums. There are constant mentions of corrosion and unsuitable materials. One person converted a diesel engine to run on two 10 kW engines. He's throwing them out; the loss is well into five figures. Do your own research!
