Smart technology for faster charging! Now everything is even faster than before: faster charging to full capacity, faster installation, and faster decision-making, too, because the favourable price. The new PerfectCharge IUOU MCA chargers from DOMETIC are suitable for all types of batteries – regardless of whether you have a lead-acid, gel or AGM battery. Due to their six-step IU0U charging characteristics they allow especially gentle charging and do their job faster than others.

Fitted standard with a BUS interface, DOMETIC PerfectCharge MCA series chargers are genuine “networkers”. They perfectly integrate into existing BUS systems with ease. Extremely compact on the outside and very lightweight, too, they take up very little space and are always reliable.

Designed for an input voltage range from 110 to 230 volts, DOMETIC's IU0U chargers provide hassle-free operation anywhere in the world. They are available in 25 amps charging current and are equipped with 2+1 charger outputs for simultaneous charging of several batteries. A temperature sensor and a convenient remote are available as optional accessories.

Advice for the operating instructions:

Within the included operating instruction manual, you may notice an unclear description regarding the DIP-switch-settings with the use of the MCA-RC-1-remote control on pages 23 and 27.

You can find an updated explanation under "documents" (on pages 24 and 28 here). In order to use the MCA-RC1-remote control, the DIP-switch must be programmed according to the updated description.

If the device is running it is ok. RnBeim small mistake, however, it is immediately to the total damage, and is therefore only conditionally recommended.

Wer sich nicht vorab über die Eigenschaften eines elektrischen Gerätes informiert, sollte beim Anschluss unbedingt auf die korrekte Polarität achten.
WAECO weist in der Anleitung mit einem speziellen Symbol (dickes graues Ausrufezeichen in achteckigem Rahmen) auf wichtige Details hin, welche beachtet werden sollten, damit eine einwandfreie und zuverlässige Funktion gewährleistet ist.

I\'ve got two sets of batteries, so i wanted to put two of them + mca remote control : but there is only one temp control input and one for the rc1. So i put the temp sensor on the service batteries, i\'ll see what happens next. perhaps i bought it usefulness, i don\'t know. but two pièces can\'t be plugged if you have remote control, or is there another possibility?

Our answer

You\'re right. Like other manufacturers too, WAECO has provided only one sensor-input for temperature monitoring .
Your charger is suitable for charging a starter battery with limited voltage and current. There is no risk of overcharging or gassing.That is why there is no need to place the temp.-sensor at the starter battery.
The other two outputs are designed for charging service batteries with an optimal charging characteristic (adjustable via DIP-switches). This curve is based on room temperature (20-25 ° C).
The sensor detects not only a possible self-heating of the service batteries during charging with high currents. Rather, you should also take into account external heat sources, eg. the mashine. You should place the temp.-sensor on the thermally mostly stressed service battery.

The device makes a neat impression. The manufacturer has little thought about the operation. The status LED would be better positioned next to the device switch. The power plug can loose shake, a fixed connection would be better. The installation instructions do not describe the configuration: remote control and temperature sensor. A demand from the manufacturer was very tedious (16 minutes on hold). Waeco needs to improve.
