The Phaesun 12 watt/12 volt Sun Trickle solar module kit prevents lead acid battery types (this includes AGM and gel batteries) from naturally self-discharging. The solar module is small, light and robust and can be easily attached to windows or other smooth surfaces with suction cups or simply placed on the instrument panel. Product details

The Phaesun 12 watt/12 volt Sun Trickle solar module kit prevents lead acid battery types (this includes AGM and gel batteries) from naturally self-discharging. The module's 36 solar cells are embedded in an ETFE laminate on a sturdy FR4 support, the module itself and the module connection are IP65 waterproof. The Sun Trickle solar module is small, light and robust and can be easily attached to windows or other smooth surfaces with suction cups (included) or simply placed on the instrument panel. The approx. 2.5 m long module connection cable is fitted with a standardised 2-pin SAE plug. If necessary, a matching 5m-long SAE extension cable is available separately. A small charge controller with 5 red LED function/charge status indicators is built into the connecting cable and is approx. 30 cm along the wire from the SAE connector. Charge controller is not water resistant and must be used in a dry environment. Three SAE adapter cables are included so that Sun Trickle can easily be connected to all common batteries, either via crocodile clips, 6 mm ring terminals or cigarette lighter plugs. Sun Trickle can be stored away when not in use in the small compact packaging (with printed instructions).

Notes
  • The Sun Trickle is designed solely to prevent a battery from self-discharging or to maintain the state of charge of a charged battery.
    Trickle charging does not work if the battery is being used by active electrical devices!
  • Sun Trickle is not suitable for recharging discharged batteries.
  • Coated glass surfaces can reduce the performance of the Sun Trickle.
  • Although the module is constructed to be semi-flexible, it should not be bent!

We recommend...
  • ... Sun Trickle to be used for a battery capacity up to 120 Ah.
    For larger capacities, 2 or more Sun Trickles can be connected in parallel to the battery (bank).
  • ... when using the ring terminal adapter, fit a 1 A fuse close to the battery in the PLUS line.
