This entry-level set contains all the essential components for setting up your solar system. The two high-power, semi-flexible 100 W solar modules are particularly suitable for maritime use on board as well as for motorhome and lorry roofs. The solar modules are made from a special aluminium-plastic composite. A 0.8 mm thick aluminium core is coated with plastic, which provides increased stability. The PET coating is extremely resistant to weather and scratches. Thanks to the integrated bypass diodes, electricity continues to be produced even in partially shaded or poor lighting conditions. In addition to the solar module, a VICTRON BlueSolar PWM-Light 12/24-30 solar charge controller is included in the delivery. The compact Blue Solar charge controller can process solar input voltages of up to 28 V (@12 V) and currents of up to 30 A and is particularly suitable for entry-level solar systems. In addition to a charging output to the battery, the charge controller has a load output for the direct connection of small loads. Easily route the cables below deck thanks to the through-deck with integrated MC4 connectors included in the delivery contents. The 1000 mm long connection cable on the deck seal can be connected directly to the charge controller below deck. Cable cross-section: 6 mm². The two modules can easily be connected in parallel using the Y connector.
Mounting instructions and optional accessories
- Solar connection cable sets with 2 cables, each with an MC4 plug and MC4 coupling, are available as extension cables between the solar module and charge controller. Available in different cable cross-sections 4 mm² (e.g. item 33569) and 6 mm² (e.g. itm. 33571), in 5 and 10 metres each.
- Solar cables (itm. 25539) and connector sets (itm. 33567) for crimping are available for individual cable extensions between the module and controller.
- For the battery-side connection, we recommend tinned battery connection cables 4.0 mm² (itm. 16479) black and (itm. 16480) red, as well as an ATO fuse holder (itm. 29726) including fuses (e.g. itm. 25779).
- Other useful installation materials: wire end ferrule assortment (item 46679), multiband (itm. 16709) or heat-shrink tubing (itm. 47344) as well as cable ties (itm.46730), self-adhesive plates (itm.) 51922) and spiral cable ties (itm. 16324).
- As a rule, a little construction adhesive (e.g itm. 17536) on the outer edge of the module should suffice for permanent bonding.
