Product details

These plug in connectors are suitable for connecting navigation lights, headlights etc. They are waterproof, seawater resistant and fitted with a plastic cap for deck separation points. The housing is made of brass, chrome plated. Load capacity: 5 amps. Supplied complete with plug and socket.

Dimensions:

  • Base Ø: approx. 44 mm
  • Drill hole for rubber grommet at cable inlet: 7 mm
  • Drill hole for knurled screw/cable inlet: 10.5 mm
  • Maximum cable cross section (with ferrule): 6 mm²
Note: Please note the maximum cable inlet diameter with seal for the correct cable selection.

No 100% tightness and contact reliability
Too bad, the overall concept makes a good impression. I used it as an outside socket in the cockpit for tiller steering. Unfortunately, the Bakelite inner cylinder does not close tightly to the housing without further measures.
Unfortunately, after successful installation, contact problems between the plug and socket can be found again and again. In my opinion, the reason for this is that the plug contacts are solid brass pins in the plug and rigid sleeves in the socket without springs on one of the two sides.
Despite the union nut on the plug, a light touch on the plug is enough to briefly interrupt the current.
