The CRUISING version by PROFURL - furling systems is suitable for boats 5-26 m long. These robust furling systems are easy to use and are particularly durable. WICHARD / PROFURL gives 10-year factory warranty for these systems. Quick and easy installation over the existing forestay. Sealed bearings ensure maintenance-free operation. The drum made of PA 6 plastic withstands heavy shock by anchor, spinnaker pole or collision. The stainless steel wire cage allows free access to the drum to prevent the reef line running from the drum. The profiles are characterised by high resistance and optimal weight. The weight saving in the profiles is due to the use of internal bars and a mechanically particularly robust alloy that is only used by PROFURL for reefing systems. The high torsional resistance and the lack of play in the connections prevent the profile of the reefed sail from twisting under load. Their profile and rigidity allow the sail to furl evenly and optimise aerodynamics. The patented Wrapstop® prevents any blocking of the halyard block. The stop prevents the halyard from winding around the forestay. The Wrapstop® is screwed onto the upper end of the forestay. It eliminates the need to mount a block for halyard diversion, thereby also preventing wear on the halyard. Horizontal loads on the top swivel and associated bearing damage are avoided. The practical feeder fitting allows for easy sail raising by a single person. The fitting can be removed without tools after the sail has been raised, ensuring that the rolled sail is not damaged.
