RONSTAN Orbit ratchet single footblock. Clockwise (CW) rotation.
RONSTAN: In relation to their work load the innovative RONSTAN orbit blocks are extremely lightweight. Loops offer an easy and flexible technique to attach the RONSTAN orbit blocks. The unique asymmetric ball bearing system reduces the tread to the active area of the sheave.
Cleaning and Maintenance of Blocks:
- Rinse blocks regularly and thoroughly with warm fresh water to remove salt and dirt (carefully assist with a soft brush if necessary).
- For heavier soiling: Soak the block in warm fresh water with a little dish soap and move the rollers (do not use harsh cleaners).
- Avoid pressure washers, as water and dirt can be forced into the bearing.
- Allow to dry thoroughly afterwards to prevent corrosion.
- Lubricate only when necessary and according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Note: Many modern bearings are maintenance-free or self-lubricating – improper lubrication can impair their function.
- Disassemble only if explicitly instructed by the manufacturer, as not all blocks are designed for maintenance or disassembly.
