Product details

This 70 mm diameter jib roller is a chafe protector and helps the jib trim over the guardrail upwind. It can be adjusted to the wire diameter by drilling it out. Hole diameter is 6 mm. This can be increased to a maximum of 11 mm by drilling out.
The two halves of the sail guard cannot be separated once pressed together.

Tip: These sail guards can be used on any wire onboard such as guardrails, shrouds close to the spreader, upper parts of the backstay or forestay.

Of course you can drill out the diameter of the inner hole. To do this, the two parts have to be wedged together, i.e. in the final assembly state. Then it is difficult to hold the ring in order to drill the hole larger. After that, the two parts can only be separated again with force in order to mount it on the railing or the shroud. Conclusion: 1 € DIY part but it works. Recommended purchase due to lack of alternatives (or you can take a golf ball and drill it open).
