The SEAGO rescue hoister has all the features required to enable the horizontal rescue of a person who has fallen overboard.
The hoister can be securely attached using the 4 fixing points on board the ship, for example on the railing so that the sail rests as much as possible on the deck of the boat. The top of the recovery sail is connected to the main halyard or jib halyard in the case of sailing boats. In an MOB maneuver, the hoister is lowered into the water and the person who has fallen overboard can swim in. By hoisting the halyard, the casualty is brought safely to deck level and can be rescued in a horizontal position. The rescue hoister also has integrated steps so that the person can climb back aboard themselves if able to do so. In addition, straps are attached to ensure easier boarding. For better visibility at night, the sail is equipped with reflective strips.
