Product details

Fibre reinforced epoxy putty - this 2-component epoxy based putty contains blended specialty fibres. It is particularly suitable for filling deep and uneven areas and bonding GRP, CFRP, steel, aluminium and hardwood materials. The product can be used in all applications requiring a high degree of mechanical strength and excellent water resistance. Forces are better absorbed by the special fibres and transmitted evenly. The epoxy fiber putty cures without sticking with a fine surface finish.
Colour of the mixture: light blue.

Application note: The surface must be clean, dry, grease-free, and free from loose or poorly adhering components; sanding dust must be thoroughly removed. To improve adhesion, a primer with a 2-component epoxy primer, such as YC EPOXY PRIMER, is recommended. Base and hardener of the EPOXY FIBER FILLERS are to be thoroughly mixed in a mixing ratio of 2:1 (base: hardener) until a homogeneous light blue color is achieved. Mix only enough that can be used in 15 minutes. Only use at temperatures above +10 °C. Heat supply up to a maximum of +60 °C can accelerate the curing process. A maximum layer thickness of 3 cm may be applied per application. For higher total layer thicknesses, the previous layer must be sanded before applying a new putty layer. Reworking of the putty layers should be done within 24 hours at 20 °C.
