Product details
SEATEC Gelcoat is a two-component polyester gelcoat with CHP hardener.
It forms a water-resistant top layer on fiberglass coatings and polyester putty layers.
Apply only once.
Consumption: 0.2 l/m²
Yield: approx. 200-300 g/m²
Processing Instructions: SEATEC Gelcoat is applied evenly with a brush or fur roller onto the sticky or sanded laminate. If using a roller to apply, immediately finish with a fine brush. The applied layer thickness must be at least 1 mm, even in the edges, as otherwise a complete curing will not occur. Consumption approx. 200 g/m². Due to the paraffin skin on the surface, only one application is possible. Curing occurs by adding 3% CHP hardener, for example, 100 g of gelcoat with 3 g of hardener. Pot life for this mixture is approximately 20 minutes at 20°C; full load capacity is reached after 5 days. Ideal processing temperature between 18°C and 25°C, direct sunlight should be avoided.

Im not 100% sure on how this works . Does it work straight out of can or do i have to mix things together ? Will this fill in small spider cracks or where there was some filler before hand ?

Hello Brian, It is a two component product. You need to mix the base and hardener together. Its for cracks and chip. For larger holes, please take first epoxy putty: -#24208#- and second the gelcoat. Yours SVB-team.

Can this product be applied by brush or roller? Or is it only a repair putty. I need to re apply gelcoat to bare GRP around new thru hull fittings.
