Product details
Styrene-reduced polyester resin for repairs and reinforcements. The laminate is produced in conjunction with glass fiber mat or glass fabric. Suitable for use on metal, wood and fiberglass. Good resistance to water, salt water, acids and alkalis. The material hardens by adding 1-3% hardener. The substrate must be dry, clean and free of wax and grease. The processing temperature should be at least +15° C. A final coat (SEATEC gelcoat) is required. Delivery includes hardener.
Application:
Pre-coat the prepared repair site with resin, then apply the polyester resin on glass fiber mat or glass fabric. Firmly apply the laminate, deaerate and allow to harden. Add more layers if necessary. After curing, grind, apply putty, varnish or seal the surface. The average resin requirement for a glass fiber reinforcement is 3x glass mat weight or 1x glass fabric weight. Pot life: approx. 30 minutes (20° C)
