nice lights, too simple electronics There are 6 groups of 3 LEDs plus 2 separate LEDs. Total 20. They are driven through resistors, which is simple and similar to what LED bands use. At 12V, they draw about 3W. At 13V, they draw more than 4W. The light will fluctuate with voltage. They would need a voltage regulator, which might be overkill if you have many lights. A better idea - open the lamp, remove resistors and add a constant current driver. This is how LEDs should be driven. Lamp is nice, well made, a lot of light.

Product details

Mirror-finished interior cabin light with a glass diffusing lense. The Fresnel lens provides soft, pleasant light. Housing-Ø 172 mm, installation height: 45 mm. The "Sunny" interior light is excellent for use in the wheelhouse or cosier places on board. The light can be activated and deactivated via an integrated ON-OFF switch in the housing. SUNNY comes supplied with a 12 V white LED circuit board fitted with 20 white LEDs. We recommend using our 12 volt regulator, with this to prevent increased strain on your on-board electrical system and ensure the longest operating life of the LEDs. Material: brass.
