Instructions to determine the type of cardridge for your specific lifejacket:

Open your lifejacket on the side and look for the trigger and gas cartridge. Based on our photos and table (enlarge the picture) you can determine which type of inflation device is necessary for your specific lifejacket.
The amount of gas is specified on the cardridge's label. Despite the manufacturer's recomendation, which you may find on the label of your product, claiming that cardridges must be renewed only every two years, we recommend that you conduct yearly maintenance on your product, in order to ensure perfect functionality. Remember to always have some spare inflation devices on board.

Die Preisgestaltung orientiert sich eher an Druckertinte und so ist es auch hier so, dass für eine kleine Menge CO2 (32g) doch ein Vermögen gezahlt werden muss. Da sich aber hier alle Anbieter einig sind, ist auch keine Verbesserung zu erwarten. Die Handhabung ist jedoch kinderleicht und macht den Patronenwechsel einfach. Insgesamt ein narrensicheres System. Der Indikator meiner alten Patrone zeigte rot. Daher der Austausch. Die Patrone an sich war aber einwandfrei und konnte die Weste vollständig aufblasen. Warum dann der Indikator auf rot gewechselt hatte konnte mir niemand beantworten. Ich werde in Zukunft auf ein anderes System wechseln, um diese "Fehlalarme" zu vermeiden.

Stupid idea to construct a system that only fits this cartridge. If you're out and about and the cartridge goes off, there's no replacement. Buy a new vest. Another system. Same problem.

Unabhängig davon, welche Auslösevorrichtung in der Rettungsweste eingebaut ist, empfehlen wir stets, beim Kauf der Rettungsweste gleich die passende CO2-Patrone mitzubestellen. Dies erspart Ihnen die mühsame Suche nach der passenden Patrone, insbesondere wenn Sie unterwegs sind. Da Rettungswesten unterschiedliche Auftriebswerte haben, muss stets die richtige Patronen-Größe verwendet werden.

Die SECUMATIC 4001S mit dem Bayonet-System bietet viele Vorteile. Ein einziger Rot-Grün-Indikator informiert über den Sicherheitszustand des Gerätes:
- Ist eine Automatik-Tablette eingelegt?
- Ist die CO2-Patrone richtig eingesetzt?
- Ist der Handauslösehebel eingerastet?
- Ist die Patrone gefüllt und in Ordnung?
All das kann durch ein in die Schutzhülle integriertes Kontrollfenster überprüft werden. Die Montage der CO2-Patrone ist durch das Bajonett-System einfach auszuführen. Eine Sperrvorrichtung verhindert ein ungewolltes Lösen der CO2-Patrone.

Zusätzlich gibt es auch SECUMAR Rettungswesten, die mit einer CO2-Patrone mit Gewinde ausgestattet sind. Diese Westen sind mit der Auslösevorrichtung SECUMATIC 3001S ausgerüstet. Beispiele hierfür sind die Modelle der ARKONA Serie.
