Very cleanly processed, easy to install The BS is very well made, the instructions are good. We were amazed at the good effect; previously a 3 kw BA was installed in a 160 tunnel. The new one has at least the same effect at 2.4 kW in the 140 tunnel.

Affordable and powerful bow thruster The product works perfectly and thanks to the good installation and operating instructions, even experienced laymen can install it. We are excited to see how it performs in the narrow Danish harbors when on vacation. Our 10.30m long boat can get into every little corner of a harbor thanks to its draft of just 1.30m and it is easier with the turning aid.

Product details

This Side Power / Sleipner SE50S bow thruster set has been specially developed to optimise the manoeuvrability of yachts in maritime water sports. With a thrust of 62 kg at 12 V and up to 50 kg at 10.5 V, this bow thruster is suitable for boats with a length of 8 to 11 metres.

Compact design and powerful motor
The SE50S is designed for installation in a tunnel with an internal diameter of 140 mm, making it ideal for a wide range of boat types. The 2.4 kW electric motor operates at a voltage of 12 V, ensuring efficient performance with low energy consumption. Totalling 15 kg in weight, the system has little impact on the balance and performance of the boat.

Innovative technologies for increased reliability
An outstanding feature of the SE50S is the Intelligent Power Control (IPC) system, which increases reliability and safety by permanently monitoring the relay function and switching it off automatically in the event of malfunctions. The bow thruster also has a sealed gearbox with a durable mechanical seal, in which polished ceramic and carbon surfaces form the only moving sealing surfaces. This design ensures maximum reliability and durability.

Efficient propeller design for quiet operation
The single propeller design of the SE50S ensures high efficiency and its compact shape allows easy integration into narrow boat bow areas. The 5-blade propeller with asymmetrical profile reduces the noise level during operation and enables a thrust gain of around 5 %.
