The bags within this category have been tested in accordance with the IPX8 standard test, at the Engineering Research Center at the Imperial College of London: this means, the continuous submergence of the devices by the manufacturer for prolonged periods of time. Aquapac has tested the devices to a submerged depth of 5 meters for the period of one hour successfully. Swimming, snorkeling, and filming in the rain, are also no issue at all (as our bags have been submerged in water for extended periods of time with zero water penetration).
What stops the water from getting in?
The patented Aquaclip® seals the bag with a simple twist of the levers. The Aquaclip® has been tested under the toughest international waterproofing standards. Caution: Make sure that nothing is pinched between the seals and that the film is not stuck or folded on to the seal's rails.
