Similar to the "Devil's Claw". I replaced the split pin with a ring. Hook is simple and reliable. Harken & Trosse provide the necessary elasticity of the anchoring harness. And: I always use two hooks with a hammered line to secure the already fetched chain sections so that I can not get rid of the anchoring chain when the anchor chain is caught.

Product details

Heavy-duty chain tail hook to relive the windlass.
The stainless steel chain snaphook is spliced to stretchable rope or cables. It is then hooked between two chain links and the end of the rope is attached to a cleat.
The rope becomes so tense that the chain will hang loosely.
The use of a stretchable rope creates a shock-absorbing effect that cushions load peaks. It also prevents annoying noises from the chain on the anchor roller - for a quieter night on board.
Material: Rust-free stainless steel.
