STERLING Alternator to Battery Charger / 12 V / 130 A

This STERLING alternator to battery charger combines all advantages of high-performance regulators with simple installation. The device is installed inbetween the alternator and starter and consumer batteries. Old technology, such as isolators, charging relay or battery switches is replaced by this STERLING-charger. After engine start, the device charges the starter battery (standard characteristic) for a short time. Then, the device charges the consumer battery with anoptimal IUoUo characteristic. 2 temperature sensors for regulators and consumer battery ensure, even at high load currents, optimised operating conditions.

The LB-charger can be easily expanded with a remote control with display. All important parameters of the charging system are displayed. We recommend a remote control without shunts (item number: 32443).

• Only lithium batteries that have an integrated or external BMS (Battery Management System), which includes essential safety features such as overcharge and deep discharge protection, temperature monitoring, balancing, etc., may be charged. Information on whether your LiFePO4 battery has an integrated BMS with the corresponding range of functions or whether your LiFePO4 must be equipped with an external BMS should be found in the product description, data sheet or installation/operating instructions of the battery.
• The unit provides 14.6 V boost voltage and 14.4 V float charge voltage when set for LiFePO4 batteries.
  Make sure that your lithium battery is compatible with these voltages. You should be able to find reliable information in the data sheet of your LiFePO4 battery or in the operating/installation instructions under "Technical data".
