The Sterling PRO REG DW IUoUo, IPX67 waterproof, high performance regulator can be set to either 12 V or 24 V alternators. A remote control is optionally available.

IUoUo Pro-Digital high-performance regulator.
With special AGM characteristic.
Alternator voltage 12 V or 24 V: the regulator can be set to either 12 V or 24 V alternators.
LED status indicators: this regulator has even more LED status indicators integrated to identify settings and faults better.
Alternator temperature monitoring: this regulator also monitors the temperature of the alternator. Due to the increasingly thick sound insulation of the engine, ventilation is often restricted. If the charging power of the alternator is high, the resulting heat cannot be dissipated. Heat accumulates in the engine room and the alternator becomes very hot. When the alternator reaches a temperature of more than 90°C, the regulator switches off. Either the standard regulator takes over or the alternator is completely shut down in order to cool. Once the temperature returns to 65°C, the regulator switches on again. This is indicated by a corresponding LED on the regulator and on the remote control.
Negative voltage loss monitoring: negative voltage loss to the batteries is also monitored by the PRO-REG-DW controller. On the negative charge side from the alternator to the batteries there can be a voltage loss due to corrosion, thin cables or bad connections. If the negative voltage drop is greater than 1.5 V, the regulator switches off completely.
The remote control and display (optional) shows all relevant data of the charging process: battery voltage, alternator voltage, battery and alternator temperature, set battery type, current charge level and duration, error messages and help texts for troubleshooting.
Optional fuse kit available.

Works, but manual chaotic and full of errors.

Typical Sterling product Does the job, manual is a good effort but somewhat discombobulated. Several conflicting descriptions of battery settings and voltages in the same manual and on the front of the unit. Had to measure to find out which are correct.

Also had a problem installing it as per manual with the field not getting energized (enough). This was only mentioned in the German section of the manual, the solution was to hook up the power to B instead of D - then the unit can draw enough current to energize the field coil, otherwise it simply failed to work while showing all the correct lights.

Perhaps not their best product (or manual), but it does the job now. Would've rather fitted a like-for-like replacement for the defective Balmar MaxCharge, but that was proving difficult to find in the EU!
