can this product be used for a door outside the boat? or is it only for use inside? won't it rust?

Hello Miguel, the lock is suitable for use on an exterior door. All parts are made of chrome-plated brass, with no corrosion-prone materials. A protective cap is also included. It is additionally recommended to use maintenance spray #32130# from time to time. Best regards, SVB-Team Bremen
