Replacement cable as expected
I experienced breaking of old control cable, it was more than 20 years in service, about 30 days per season. I measured the length of old cable, and the the concluding thread and ordered this new one from SVB. It is a little shorter than original (I took the longest available), but still of sufficient length. The mounting on both sides (control lever, and engine side) was seamless, no problems at all. Works smoothly, friction is low. However, the durability can only be tested within a prolonged time. Delivery in extremely short time, price low when compared to other brands and marine shops.

Hi! It's written, it has M5 connector, but Ultraflex web says 10-32 UNF therad. Which is it then?

I would like to replace the existing control cable for Volvo Penta D1-13 (with Saildrive) with an alternative, due to the current non-optimal length. Which Ultraflex cable is preferred?

Dear Marko, in this case you can choose between the following two options: 1. Standard cable C8 or 2. High performance (low friction) Mach Zero. The length has to be chosen according the needs. In case you don’t know, you can dismount the cable you have now and measure that.
