The VITO HRS offshore life jacket was developed in collaboration with experienced Volvo Ocean Race sailors for the special demands of the race. The result is an innovative life jacket with high functionality that meets the high demands of sailors. The HAMMAR automatic release is activated by water pressure and requires full immersion in water to a minimum 10 cm depth to activate fully. This prevents unintentional activation due to rain, splash water or high humidity. Its unique shoulder-fit-system adapts to any shape and position, ensuring a snug fit on the shoulders at all times, and the compact design means mobility is not restricted.
This lifejacket also comes with a whole host of impressive features, including a highly effective LED flashing light, sprayhood with large visor, crotch strap, signal whistle and textile fabric D-ring for hooking a safety line. An optional distress transmitter can be easily added. Suitable for women and men from 50 kg. Colour of the float: neon yellow.
Includes Harness Release System (HRS) There's no doubt that being tethered to the boat is safer than being in the water. However, in an MOB situation, the person in the water could end up being dragged/trapped alongside or behind the vessel. With the innovative Harness Release System (HRS), this situation can be avoided and the safety line can easily be released. All it takes is a sharp pull on the rip cord and the D-ring releases from the life jacket.
