With this set, we offer a complete and comprehensive air conditioning bundle that contains all the material for installing and connecting the system as well as a touch display for operation. The only thing that needs to be ordered separately is the matching ¾" sea water hose in the desired length.
The webasto BlueCool S20 air conditioning unit with 20,000 BTU boasts an impressive high level of efficiency. The air conditioner is equipped with a hermetically encapsulated compressor and features an extremely compact design. All components required for cooling, such as compressor, condenser, evaporator and blower, are mounted on a stainless steel tray. The air-conditioning unit also features reverse cycle cooling and heating, so that the desired temperature can be reached on board in all weathers.
The type of air conditioner that is right for your application depends on the size and location (upper / lower or middle deck) of the room. Please refer to the tables below to determine the correct output of the unit.
Installing a BlueCool air conditioner is simple. The following components are required and are mostly included in the bundle:
To ensure reliable and efficient operation of the air conditioning system, a strong flow of seawater is required to cool the condenser and prevent high-pressure interruptions.
Since the inrush current of an air conditioner is quite high, a soft start module is available separately and keeps inrush by up to 70% lower. Such a module is easy to install and is connected directly to the air conditioner. The integrated, self-adjusting software adapts to the compressor type and supply frequency. At the same time, the soft start module monitors the entire system and protects against undervoltage and a blocked rotor.
The high-resolution, interactive colour display features intuitive icons and menus for user-friendly control of your webasto air-conditioning system. It has a customisable multi-design touch display with three different menu levels.
Simple temperature selection with current cabin temperature (left) and adjustable target temperature (right).
User-friendly navigation through the display settings menu with plain text in 10 different languages.
Important fault messages are shown in plain text

Find the right air conditioner in four simple steps:
Use the following tables to determine your cabin category. For our calculation example we use a cabin with portholes only, with all cabins below deck.
Determine the net volume of the room to be air-conditioned in cubic metres. If the entire boat is to be air-conditioned, you must calculate the total volume for all rooms.
We will base our example on a room that is 5 metres long, 5 metres wide and 2 metres high:
5.0 m x 5.0 m x 2.0 m = 50 m³.
Determine the climate region where the boat will be most of the time. In our example, the boat is in the Mediterranean Sea. The Mediterranean area is classified in the climate category "normal".
The results of our example are as follows: For a boat sailing in the Mediterranean and on which a cabin with a size of 50 m³ below deck is to be air-conditioned, an air-conditioning system with a capacity of 20,000 BUT is required.
