Description
The Elan 37 is a sailing yacht around 11.33 metres long, designed by Rob Humphreys and positioned as a consistent cruiser-racer. It is propelled by sails and supported by an inboard engine as an auxiliary motor for harbour manoeuvres. The hull is performance-orientated and designed with a single, deep spade rudder and an L-shaped keel, often with a lead shoe. The cockpit is wide and designed for active sailing with a small crew and for use in a regatta team. The Elan 37 was offered as a 2- or 3-cabin version. The 2-cabin version has a larger wet room and additional storage space in the stern. The galley, navigation table and wet room are permanently integrated. Compared to the Elan 362, the Elan 37 marks a step towards an even more modern and successful performance design. The Elan 37 is therefore aimed at ambitious cruising sailors with a clear regatta focus.
