Life on board during a circumnavigation of the world There's a lot of information about the IP 380 online. Every boat is a compromise. For us as a couple, this model is the most balanced: - Fully suitable for single-handed sailing, even in port with the bow thruster - Very comfortable at anchor thanks to the generous space in the cockpit and below deck, and especially the huge galley - Heavy long-keeled boat, moderate boat movements make offshore passages manageable - High-quality construction, few repairs, and these can almost always be done by the owner - Large fan community on dedicated websites, happy to help with any topic - Limited upwind performance; I typically calculate with a 60-degree angle over the ground to the true wind - Model-specific issues: aluminum tanks and laminated chain plates
