Still quite presentable at 25 years old I bought it used, so I can't comment on its condition. Now, after 25 years, some weaknesses are showing. The windows are leaking, the exhaust hose is porous and leaking at a sharp bend. The teak deck is lifting. But I'm also annoyed by defects stemming from the manufacturing process. Before the woodwork was finished, the pencil marks weren't removed and are thus preserved for eternity. There's virtually no insulation in the hull, neither underwater nor above. The single-pane windows (without tint) quickly turn it into a greenhouse in the sun, and as soon as the sun disappears, the inside temperature is the same as the outside. The heating system is good, but it was also the most expensive option. A major design flaw is the tank placement. The diesel tank is positioned far out to starboard, and the water tank is also far out to port, causing the boat to heel significantly depending on the load. Four tanks with proper connections would have resulted in a stable, level boat at all fuel levels. I do like the two helm stations, but that doesn't make up for the shoddy electrical and plumbing work. We've already replaced a few things. But there's still a long way to go. The anchor and windlass are good and easy to use. Overall, I like the good all-around walkway with plenty of room to maneuver at all the mooring posts. Only the side decks to the left and right of the upper helm station could be a bit wider.
