Product details

1 component paint with a satin finish. Suitable for all surfaces above the waterline. MULTICOAT provides special protection for the bilge and storage areas or for the deck. It has a g ood resistance to water and oil.Thinner 823 or 811. Yield approx. 11.5 m²/litre.

Processing instructions:

For coated surfaces: Sand the surface, clean and allow to dry. Then apply a primer.
For uncoated surfaces:

GRP: Sand down and remove dust.
Wood: Sand and remove dust. Then apply wood treatment and allow to dry.
Steel: Rinse with water and remove rust.

All surfaces: Sand and clean the surface. Then apply 2-3 coats of the Multicoat.

Drying time at 20 °C: 3 hours
Processing time at 20 °C: min. 24 hours
Processing temperature: +5 °C to max. 35 °C

Good experience with my steel construction

I used the paint to paint my steel Colin Archer. I really like the cream color of the ship and the matt to slightly satiny surface. Matt, because my ship is only filled in very few places, e.g. transitions to the skirting board etc.. The shipyard has built so well that hardly anyone can see that the hull and deck are not filled. As a primer, I had a 2K paint applied and switched to 1K paint with a primer layer, which is easier to handle. I painted Hempel's paint for the first time in 2022 and am very pleased with the result. Other paint manufacturers do not offer satin finish. I have always mixed high gloss paint from International with matting additive, which has never been so perfect. And the beautiful shade of cream does not exist internationally.
