Product details

Electrical and electronic systems are sensitive, especially to the wet.
Ships are constantly exposed to it, whether spray, rain, condensation or daily atmospheric humidity. As a result, short circuits or corroded contacts are a common occurrence, and eventually a total loss of conductivity. Ions, salts, acids and alkali further accelerate this process.

The RoHS-compliant WET.PROTECT e-nautic was developed with increased salt water resistance and is designed to handle the extreme requirements at sea. If your bilge pump, lighting system or navigation device fails, this can have dramatic consequences at sea. WET.PROTECT e-nautic increases safety at sea and helps to maintain the condition and value of your ship.

Areas of application:

  • Lighting systems, connections, light sockets
  • Battery terminals, engine electrics, ignition systems
  • Electrical machines, refrigerators, kitchen appliances
  • Bilge pumps
  • Drives
  • Switches and fittings, distributors, connectors, contacts
  • Sockets, fuse boxes, cable connections
  • Winches, pulleys
  • Cleats, fairleads

What distinguishes WET.PROTECT from other contact sprays?
In contrast to conventional contact sprays, WET.PROTECT contains a different active ingredient. It is characterised by its high water displacement, excellent penetration protection and long- lasting effect and efficiently protects electrical and electronic parts as well as metals from moisture and corrosion without attacking other materials. In addition, conductivity of the components is maintained. The spray does not mix with water, creating high penetrating protection against moisture and wetness. This provides treated parts with lasting protection for up to one year.

How is WET.PROTECT used?
Simply spray onto the surface to be treated. Excess oil can be wiped off after the application time. WET.PROTECT must be removed before painting, soldering or welding the affected surface due to the oils in the active ingredient. This can be removed with normal circuit board or brake cleaner. The spray can be easily reapplied after treatment. Can be used as often as required.

Can WET.PROTECT be used on electrical components that are already damp?
If the parts to be treated have already become damp and have not yet been treated preventively, the contacts can be sprayed with WET.PROTECT afterwards. The residual moisture does not need to be removed. WET.PROTECT protects devices from corrosion and failure even in the event of complete covering with water.

NOTE! Due to the flammable propellant gas, the spray must not be sprayed into running engines.
