Product details

DANBOLINE from International protects your bilges, lockers and bulkheads. The paint is resistant to residues of oil and fuel. Available in white and grey. Yield: 12.3 m²/litre Thinner no. 1.

Processing instructions:

For coated surfaces:
  • In good condition: Wash down with a suitable detergent, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Abrade with 180­280 grade (grit) paper.
  • In poor condition: Remove all previous coatings and prime the surface.

All surfaces: Sand primer with 180-220 grit. Remove dust and then apply 1-2 coats of Danboline.

Bare wood: Prime the surface with ONE UP or Interprotect.

Aluminium: Prime the surface with ONE UP or Interprotect.

Steel: Prime the surface with ONE UP or Interprotect.

GRP: Clean the surface with Super Cleaner. and rinse afterwards. Sand thoroughly with 180-220 grit sandpaper. Clean well and allow to dry. No primer required.

Drying time at 15 °C: 8 hours
Processing time at 15 °C: min. 24 hours
Processing temperature: +15 °C to max. 35 °C

I would like to know if must use a primer before, like the PRE-KOTE Undercoat on a paint of an old grp boat, i will paint the bilges and under decks. Also like to know if must be thinned with thiner on aply of two coats or apply directly without thiner. It will be apply with brush and roller.
