easy installation, display is slightly delayed
Installed on a 26 foot mast top. To calibrate the wind indicator, you have to press the set button on the NMEA module, this has to be taken into account on the Monday and cannot be put behind the fairing (you have to come to it once the system is running and the wind is coming from the front). With fast circulating winds, for example at anchor, you notice that the display is sluggish (compared to a wired system) and that the data is not sent continuously but about every second. This shouldn't be a problem when sailing. From my point of view, the advantage of wireless mounting outweighs the problem.

No it does not, this model shows apparent wind speed and direction only. You can order the 'True Clipper wireless wind' from SVB though.

When I connect everything according the instructions, I'm only getting two lines on the display. No reading. The transmitter and received don't seem to be communicating. The Transmitter has been under the sun for 12 hours now. Did anyone else experienced that issue ?

This means the display is not receiving the NMEA data from the receiver box. Is the RED led on the receiver box flashing? If not, it isn't communicating with the mast head unit.
