Product details

Mini polishing and grinding machine, which can be used in difficult to reach areas of the boat due to its handy, compact design. The device is powered by a rechargeable battery (12V / 2 Ah) and can be adjusted between 0 and 3000 rpms. Depending on the number of revolutions, one battery charge lasts for approx. 20 - 30 minutes. For larger areas or if longer battery life is required, we supply additional batteries / spare batteries. The plate can be changed without tools, thanks to a special locking function. In addition, the device is equipped with a rechargeable battery and a quick charging station. The polishing and grinding attachments can be fastened to the rotary plate (Ø 80 mm), by means of velcro fasteners. Thread: M10. Weight: 0.8 kg, length: 260 mm, Ø 55 mm.

Usable, but some limitations

I've recently completed some polishing work on the fiberglass of my dinghy cruiser. The tool does what it's supposed to, but in my opinion, one complaint regarding handling and accessories is that the tool gets so hot after a short time that you don't want to touch it without gloves.
The tool is very light, meaning if the polishing attachment isn't 100% centered, it creates a significant imbalance, which doesn't make handling any more pleasant.
I'm having problems with the batteries and charger with two out of three batteries: the charger doesn't recognize the battery and therefore doesn't charge. This is probably due to one of the contact tabs. So I keep bending and bending it until it works, and then the next time I charge it, it doesn't work again – it's all pretty rubbish!

Defective

The charger sent was not compatible with the batteries. I had to fight for quite a while to get a proper charger sent. Months later, I received the correct charger but the batteries do not hold a charge. Not an inexpensive purchase and it is completely unusable. Customer support very disappointing.
