Product details

Universal 2-component epoxy primer for use on GRP, steel, plywood or aluminium. Suitable as a primer and barrier for below or above the waterline. This water-vapor-tight primer has excellent adhesion properties and prevents corrosion on steel and osmosis on GRP surfaces (at least 5 coats required). SEATEC EPOTEC can be reworked with 1-component and 2-component coating systems and SEATEC antifouling. Yield: approx. 7.5 m2/l, colour: white.

Application note: The surface must be dry, clean, free of grease and fully intact. Before applying the primer, the substrate should be roughened by sanding, then the sanding dust should be thoroughly removed. Mix base and hardener carefully in the specified mixing ratio of 2 : 1 by volume and mix thoroughly. The processing temperature should be between +10 °C and +25 °C. The recoating interval with the same coating at 20 °C is at least 8 hours and a maximum of 5 days. If antifouling is applied, the recoating interval at 20 °C is between 4 and 24 hours; the substrate should still be slightly tacky. The mixture will have a white colour. The pot life at 20 °C is around 20-30 minutes, the drying time around 5 hours. With a dry film thickness of 60 µm, the coverage is approx. 7.5 m² per litre.

does the epotec primer contain solvents? I want to put coppercoat over it, and the instructions state to NOT use a primer with solvents or wait 7 days until it evaporated.
