Product details

Versatile, 2-component, solvent-free epoxy putty for repairs and filling in areas below and above the waterline. Suitable for all common boatbuilding materials. The putty can be applied without shrinkage and cracking in a thickness of up to 2.0 cm per application. When cured, it has a high degree of water resistance and good sanding properties. Can also be used to put a stop to osmotic damage. GRP, steel and aluminum substrates should first be primed with the 2-component SEATEC EPOXY PRIMER prior to applying the putty. Color of the mixture: light grey.
  • Processing temperature: at least +10° C
  • Pot life: approx. 30 minutes (+20° C)
  • Sandable after: approx. 6 hours (+20° C)
Application note: The surface must be dry, clean, free of grease and fully intact. Loose or poorly adhering components should be removed or sanded down, sanding dust thoroughly removed. Before filling, priming with a 2K epoxy primer is recommended. Base and hardener must be mixed in a ratio of 2:1 by volume or weight until a homogeneous, light grey colour is achieved. Mix only enough that can be used in 15 minutes. Do not work with the product at temperatures below +10 °C ; accelerated curing is possible by applying heat up to a maximum of +60 °C. A maximum layer thickness of 2 cm may be applied per application. If a greater overall layer thickness is desired, the last layer must be sanded before applying a new one. An interval of a maximum of 24 hours before reworking should be maintained between two layers at +20 °C.

putty
great, used on a bit moldy wood for mast base that needed some sanding and after I added some epoxy putty on corners of around 2cm thickness. i apply one coat, sand and than more one time.
