Attention Volvo Penta AQ170-B30 engines, 6 cylinder in-line, 3 litres I installed a new dashboard with an additional oil pressure indicator from KUS. For this I needed the corresponding sensor on the engine. I found it at SVB for a good price. The problem was with the installation. The sea water pipes run directly along the engine block in front of the oil pressure sensor. Not enough space for the large sensor. The solution A 45 angle piece with the right internal and external thread and an extension. Unfortunately not offered by SVB, you have to get it from other online retailers. Everything works, all threads are tight.

Oil pressure sensor with VDO display

On my BMW F650 motorcycle, I replaced the oil pressure switch with the oil pressure sender to use an old VDO Ø52 0-5 bar oil pressure gauge. The swap was completed without any problems, and the gauge worked immediately and appeared to be displaying the correct values according to the manual. The price was much cheaper than the AutoMotorrad parts suppliers. Shipping was also fast, and there's a great catalog to browse through. Note: The warning contact switches at 1.3 bar, which I find better than the original at 0.3 bar.
