Which is the most suitable location to install the BT-receiver on fibreglass boat?
Fibreglass doesn’t affect the BT signal much. On my 37ft boat I installed it in the cabin near the chart table just above the instrument panel, works perfectly. Important thing to remember, pair the sensor with the receiver before you take it up the mast.
With wireless B&G wind transmitter W320 the BT receiver is recommended to be installed on the deck of the boat, on the front side of the mast. Will there be problems if the BT is installed on the radar mast at the stern of the boat? The distance to the top of the mast is about 17 m, and the installation location would be about 1 m from the center line of the boat. Is the bt signal ”visible” enough?
Dear Samuli, the range connection is by 30m. You have to test by yourself, If there are some disturbances on your boat by installing it by the back. Your SVB-team.
I have Raymarine AXIOM chartplotter. Is it possible to integrate B&G WS320 wind sensor in the system? Do I need also Triton display to perform calibration?
Dear Bostjan, the Axiom chartplotter got NMEA2000 and this Wind Transmitter also. So it is possible to connect both with a NMEA2000 Starter-Kit -#85422#-. Your SVB-team.
Hi, Is it possible to connect WS320 with a tablet/Smartphone over Bluetooth/Wi-Fi? I would like to use the wind data from WS-320 together with iRegatta Pro application.
Hello Dan, for connecting you need more hardware like the NMEA-2000 starter kit and a WiFi gateway like our article numbers #85422# and #90289#
