The Twin-Fin-technology in combination with the three-wing propeller enables the gWind to give very precise data about true wind speeds even at very low wind levels. The sensor also provides wind direction and true / likely wind readings when GPS data is available.
The GND 10 interface provided with gWind allows you to exchange important NMEA 2000 data between the Nexus network and compatible Garmin chartplotters.

Received in a few days and recently installed as a replacement for a GWS from Garmin. A place must be found for the GND10 box. The connection is easy. She supported 30 knots ... as long as it lasts. Compatible with my old Garmin equipment from 2013.

Why did I choose this windtransducer
While cruising far away from home, my nWînd Nexus wind transducer stopped workîg after 6 years. The bearing was broken. The new Garmin gWînd mounting is identical and required only 15 minutes to replace. Unfortunately there is no câble berween the GND10 and Nexus, consequentely the connection with Nexus does not work. Garmin is probably ONE of the worst supplier of marine electronics. If I had moré Time , I would havé bougre B&G or RayMarine to migrate from Nexus

When fitting the gwind base to top of mast when replacing it for old garmin wind sensor. Do you have to re drill the holes or do they match the old wind sensor mounting?
