Good compact bilge pump I think the pump is great. I installed it with the Phlippi bilge pump panel, so I get an alarm when the automatic system kicks in. The only thing I could improve is the screw holes on the bracket, and the connecting cable, which could be a bit more stable. The pump works very well even in my very deep bilge, with a distance of over 1.4 meters to the onboard outlet. In my test, it pumped out 20 liters of water in about 25 seconds.

Product details

The SAHARA Mk2 automatic bilge pump has a built-in float switch and is easy to install and service. It features a patented impeller that eliminates air-locks in the system, so that the pump will not run dry and burn out. It also has an integrated non-return check valve to prevent water from running back into the bilge. Suitable for fresh and salt water.

Integrated float switch
The built-in float switch activates the pump when water reaches a height of 50 m and deactivates at a height of 19 mm.

Flexible installation possibilities
The design also features a mounting hole pattern that allows for the most flexible installation options. This makes it easy to replace any top bilge pump in its category (e.g. Johnson Ultima, Johnson Float, Rulemate or Shoreline), without having to drill new holes.

Easy and quick to service
The pump has been innovatively designed for simple system maintenance. There's no need to dismantle the plumbing or mounting feet. If necessary, the basket can be removed by a click lock and the pump can be inspected and cleaned.

Note:
The actual delivery rate of a bilge pump may deviate from the manufacturer's specifications, as it depends largely on the installation and power supply conditions. If the battery is fully charged, it will provide the necessary voltage to operate the pump at full power, but if the battery is only partially charged, the flow rate can be significantly reduced. The cable cross-section also plays an important role - if the supply lines are too long or too thin, voltage losses will occur, which will impair the performance of the pump. The hose diameter used also has an impact on efficiency: The larger the diameter, the lower the flow resistance and the better the actual delivery rate of the pump.
