This mainsail cover is designed to reliably protect your sail from the damaging effects of UV light, wind and water. UV light poses one of the greatest threats to your sail, as it slowly degrades the fabric structures and leads to fibre breakage. The use of high-quality 100% acrylic fabric ensures effective protection against UV radiation and weathering for years to come.
The cover also protects your sail from dirt, dust and grime, which can affect the appearance of the sail. To avoid chafing and abrasion, proper handling of the sail during assembly and disassembly is essential. The cover holds the sail securely in place and prevents fluttering and vibrations that could lead to damage.
It also allows the sail to breath by not packing the sail too tightly and allowing suffiicient ventilation. Mast collars and quick-connect buckles under the boom ensure excellent protection from wetness entering.
