We have finally replaced the old windlass with this marvel of engineering. The previous one - same make and model - still works if you hammer it, despite 20 or 30 years of heavy use (and annual service). The casing finally broke apart and cannot be repaired properly.rnrnAs I was so impressed with its predecessor's performance and resilience, I bought an exact replacement. It's slightly bigger and heavier, better engineered, and fits exactly in the existing deck holes.rnrnComes with a much improved relay too. Very easy to install, good instructions. rnrnA fantastic and reassuring machine that looks great and in our case, will pull a 100m of 10mm chain up from 25m in a gale and save your boat.

It is amazing that after more than 30 years this excellent windlass is still made with the same hole pattern and is easily interchangeable. The quality is excellent and with a few improvements even more efficient. \ R \ nThe CD-Rom attached to the windlass was unfortunately not playable on WIN7 / 64, only the hole pattern could be displayed. the product is perfect , the delivery is slow because UPS AS NO SERVICE POINTS IN GREECE EXCEPT OF ATHENS AND THESSALONIKI perhaps DHL is a better choise , you sent the product on 1808 on 2408 in athens but delivery at kilada only on 3008

SVB AAA Rating with Complaints
I bought the Tigres winch from Lofrans (24V 1500W) and had it shipped to Trinidad by SVB. Upon arrival, the outer packaging was already soaked with oil, and the winch was leaking oil inside the box. It wasn't damage in transit. SVB immediately sent a replacement winch via UPS Express. The leaking winch was picked up from my ship free of charge. Ten days later, everything was perfect. We had agreed by telephone that the 8 mm chain sprocket would be removed and the chain sprocket 10 mm would be booked for residue and delivered at some point. Now the winch has arrived 8m in its original condition with an 8mm sprocket. should I now sink them in the sea or send them back to Bremen from Greece? It's a shame that individual tel. Agreements and my references to them are simply ignored when ordering and paying online.

Price Issue Hi, when I talked with you about the order it was €1,098 I think. I was in a different location and had my wife complet order. The packing info showed €1299....can you adjust the price?
