Works as expected, fast and reliable delivery

Does not have anything in common with the picture, but works great and I could thus, unlike other adapters, finally on my Actisense NGW the AIS firmware version play. The thing remains on board, my Raymarine AIS500 also has an RS232 output and can only be adjusted via this and the software of Digital Yacht (the original RM version is slimmed down).

Simple to use and install. Works well and deliver a problem free connection. Used into to connect a B&G instrument with Expedition navigation software and also to log raw data with Actisense NEMA & EBL Reader, it works perfect. OS Windows 8.1 64bit.

The adapter initially caused the computer to crash when starting the laptop (Win7 / 64). So far, the device has been running without any complaints following the following settings in the Control Panel: "Start" - "Control Panel" - "System" - "Device Manager" - Connections (Open COM / LPT - Right-click on "USB Serial Port (COM3)" - "Properties" - "Port settings" - set bits per second from 9600 to 4800 - then click on "Advanced" - here receive (bytes) on 4096 and Send bytes also reduce to 4096 and in the same window under General Options "PlugPlay for Serial Interface "and" Cancel communication when the device is switched off "with a tick.
