Does not have anything in common with the picture, but works great and I could thus, unlike other adapters, finally on my Actisense NGW the AIS firmware version play. The thing remains on board, my Raymarine AIS500 also has an RS232 output and can only be adjusted via this and the software of Digital Yacht (the original RM version is slimmed down).

For the connection of GPS devices to a PC / Laptop without a COM interface, it is often necessary to use a "converter" from serial data to USB port. The serial-to-USB adapter converts the serial NMEA data to USB 1.0 format. Delivery complete with 9-pole D-sub connector and Windows driver software. Also available as NMEA to USB 2.0 version.
