A practical component to enable networking of navigation data. I use it to connect AIS, autopilot, anemometer log, DSC controller and navigation computer. Can be used very flexibly thanks to the programming. Later, a plotter will be integrated in the cockpit. With minor commissioning issues that were more between the ears, I was able to access the very good service from SVB.

Not yet assessed all possibilities to give a relevant opinion. Up to now has met my expectations.

Commissioning problem-free. \ R \ nI expected to be able to communicate with several devices (eg notebook and tablet at the same time) via WIFI. \ R \ nBut unfortunately only one device can be connected.

The price is very acceptable if you fully exploit the potential of this device. All I need is to get a fast compass / gyro and AIS simultaneously to the NMEA input of a chartplotter. But the price is already painful. The device could be a little more marinemäßiger, robust processed; does his job but excellent. The documentation is very good, if you can deal with a few small inconsistencies.

easy to install if you have the manuals of your equipment (internet download) telling you which colours the wires are: \r\na + b -

Expensive but effective device to connect devices via the NMEA 0183 protocol. \r\nYou may have different equipment manufacturers such as Autohelm, Raymarine, Garmin, Raytheon, etc. of old and new, the basic data transferred between the devices as well.

The device works flawlessly, the programming is very flexible. It lacks the German manual. The question is, if such a thing still has to cost so much today?

The multiplexer meets the expectations fully and serves all functions, in particular also controlling an autopilot via WLAN. Over UDP several devices (iPad / iPod, PC, etc.) can connect at the same time to display NMEA data. With iNavX on the iPad, the autopilot can be controlled automatically via TCP. If you have any questions, a German-speaking support (in NL) is available competently and very quickly. The software has been and is constantly evolving.

gut anpassbarer Multiplexer
Auch mit älteren Dantronicgebern (Sumlog, Echo und Wind) ohne Probleme einsetzbar.

Instalation and connection with the laptop via USB folds easily. My NAvi software (Stentec) works with the GPS data from the GPS mouse and the data from the onboard instruments (Autohelm: Wind, Echosounder, Loge) together. But since I have purchased a device WiFi, I want to use the data channel also like. This turned out to be difficult with only English instructions. But now my i-Phone also displays the data of my ancient Autohelm instruments. A German manual would be nice H.-M.Reblin

Unfortunately, the multiplexer was deprived of the Seatalk conversion in NMEA input 4 by the manufacturer. For Raymarine users an extremely significant disadvantage. As AIS-NMEA interface mixer functionally OK, but the pricing is not justified.

The Greatest Impudence of All Time
Approximately 5 minutes came in the data about Seatalk and AIS perfectly traceable in, but then to make the same accessible via WiFi, which was indeed the reason of purchase, the fun was over quickly. About the supplied software, no network configuration (WiFi Model) was possible, came in the menu of MPXconfig (the supplied configuration software), under the menu item Tools, as described in the manual, simply not at all. After trying a firmware update, the device now only shows the red LED for overflow and can not be reset since neither nor can you install new firmware. So scrap, for a fabulous 340 €. Unbelievable how to sell such a fragile crap for so much money. Congratulations to those who had more "luck". Schol. SVB: Can not we confirm that way. We have been operating this multiplexer in-house for several months without interruption and get perfect data (instrument, wind and AIS data via USB and WIFI).
