Sword continues to clatter

The lowered sword of my micros clattered when anchored. So I wanted to provide the sword box with an insulating bead under water and first glued a foam seal to the edge with 292i. It was simply pulled off when the sword was lowered, ie the Sikaflex 292i did not hold the foam on the GRP. The adhesive itself was relatively firmly attached to the GRP. 2nd experiment: an adhesive bead about 5mm thick without anything else pressed directly onto the previous adhesive track with the gun. This should take over the steaming. Sword lowered, bulge away. So don't stick to yourself. I am at a loss.
