It's just crazy what modern LED technology makes possible today! The power consumption of this set is actually hardly worth mentioning. The Posi's consume about 110mA, the tail lamp beats with 47mA total to book !!! The luminosity is more than sufficient! Who thinks about it is best advised with this sentence !!! My recommendation

Good top plate lantern - easy to mount on the masthead

The base is mounted with 3 screws. I was able to reuse the old holes from a previously used Hella-Marine masthead lantern. No new drilling necessary! The lantern is then attached to the base. Contact to the upper part via plug connector in the base. No rotation etc. A "union nut" with seal fixes the lantern on the base. When wiring the base, the description, printed in very small print, is a bit tedious to decipher. A contact remains vacant. Before dismantling the old lantern, it is helpful to mark the cables on the mast top. But then the wiring is simply 1x minus, 1x plus for anchor, 1x plus for 3-colors. - Real 3-color lantern with 135-degree rear sector, white. Great product! Only the union nut with the seal - a bit "plastic". A nice, plastic cover cap is included for winter storage. Pleasing!
